Named by The Source magazine as one of, "10 Female Hip Hop DJs Keeping the Culture Alive," the future looks bright for DJ Leecy T. With a bassist and a local radio DJ in the family, it is no surprise that Leecy T is following her roots in music. Some afternoons she could hear rehearsals downstairs as she studied for school and hear her uncle every day on the radio. In the garage there was an extensive collection of vinyl. "You could find anything in there from Mozart to AC/DC to The Beastie Boys to XTC to George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars." Being able to control the music and rock a party initially fueled her desire to seriously pursue being a DJ. Luckily she had a mentor-emcee, producer and deejay M-TRI to guide her along the way. She started out playing music without scratching or blending and discovered her strong point was music selection. M-TRI showed her how to blend, scratch and before she knew it, Leecy T was guest DJing at venues with M-TRI and DJing for him when he performed. A female deejay and a male emcee pair-they were immediately embraced and that added fuel to her fire to continue DJing. DJ Leecy T has shared the stage with Rah Digga, Eternia, Nitty Scott MC, Large Professor and Neek the Exotic, Sadat X, eMC, Dana Dane, Homeboy Sandman, J-Live, Masta Ace and Marco Polo, Grand Wizard Theodore and Grand Master Caz to name a few.  DJ Leecy T has completed four European tours with her group M-TRI & DJ Leecy T playing concerts and DJing parties. You can hear DJ Leecy T spin on SiriusXM FLY, as a guest deejay and guest co-host with her health segments on Equilibrium Radio-90.3 FM in NYC. You can also catch her spinning at corporate and community events and at various venues around NYC including The DL, Gansevoort Park Rooftop, The Empire Room, Von, Greenwood Park, The Renaissance Hotel and The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club.
