Hey! Hope you are having a great week! I wanted to update you on the protein powder and also share another smoothie recipe with you!
As part of my transition to a vegan diet I had to change my protien powder to one that is plant based and I chose Garden of Life's Raw Protein in Vanilla. The protein powder is good. You can taste it a little but using a banana in the smoothie makes a huge difference. Takes away the powder taste. I also use oats in most of my smoothies so that could be contributing to the powder taste as well.
For this recipe I was home after the gym and threw this together real quick:
8oz almond milk
Scoop and a half of protein powder
A generous handful of chopped raw kale or baby spinach
About 30 blueberries
One vanilla flavored almond milk yogurt
Tablespoon chia seeds
Tablespoon flax seeds
2 tablespoons oats
Maple syrup or honey (about a tablespoon)
Ice (half tray)
In the order listed put all of the ingredients in your blender and let it go!
Yields 2 servings-one for you and one for your bestie or your boo!
Remember-there are no rules to this-just make something that fuels your body and the rest will fall into place!
